Sam D. Kim - Founding and Senior Pastor of 180 Church
Sam D. Kim is the Founding and Senior Pastor of 180 Church. He primarily leads the overall direction and vision of the church.
He is also the President and CEO of 180 Group, whose mission is to fund the expansion of God's kingdom both locally and globally. 180 Group owns and operates the following entities: 180 Media Group (produced the film "The Open Door"), 180 Academy (SSHAT & SAT preparatory courses), The Pearl Fund (180's Investment and Finance ministry), and The Father's House Project (180's personal charity that tackles fatherlessness in our own backyard).
Educationally, Pastor Sam was a former Adjunct Professor of Preaching & Communications at Nyack College in Nyack, New York and still frequently lectures on Culture, Media, and Communications at Alliance Theological Seminary.
At heart, Pastor Sam is a futuristic visionary that is always dreaming of the next big thing that God can do to advance His Kingdom. It is no wonder then that his two biggest passions are in theology (ask him about C. S. Lewis, Allister McGrath, or anything ministry related and you'll lose an afternoon) and astronomy (ask him about space or Star Trek and you'll lose your entire evening!); as a result, we call him our resident Theonomist.
Recently, Pastor Sam was selected out of thousands of leaders in the U.S to attend the Lausanne Congress for World Evangelization at Cape Town, South Africa in October 2010 to join global leaders from 200 countries to discuss the most pressing issues the Global church is facing in the twilight of globalization and digitization".
